EXPERIENCE

Josephine “Josie” Calderon is a Senior Vice President and Trust Officer. Josie has over 23 years of experience having most recently served as Senior Trust Advisor, Guardianship Services at Northern Trust. Prior to that, she spent 13 years of her career at Fifth Third Private Bank, having served as Director of Personal Trust for two of those years. Before entering the corporate fiduciary world, Josie worked as a litigation paralegal at a Chicago consumer protection law firm.

EDUCATION

Josie received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Robert Morris University (now Roosevelt University) in 1995 and has completed numerous legal education and financial planning courses throughout her career.

EXPERTISE

Josie enjoys using her years of experience in assisting her clients through the guardianship process and offering her expertise and guidance throughout the different stages including setting reasonable expectations and advocating for her clients. She is also fluent in Spanish and enjoys explaining the process and expectations in a manner that makes the Spanish speaking clients more comfortable.

INTERESTS

Josie lives in Medinah, Illinois with her husband and son. She also has an adult daughter who lives in Chicago’s Gold Coast. Josie is passionate about exercising, hiking, enjoying the outdoors and traveling the world.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Josie is a member of Chicago Estate Planning Council, the DuPage Estate Planning Council and the Northwest Suburban Estate Planning Council. She currently serves on the Lurie Cancer Center Patient & Family Advisory Board. Previously, she served on the Board of Directors for Children’s Place Association for 10 years.
