Donald E. Clark, Jr. serves as a Regional Manager for Wintrust Wealth Management’s Investment group where he oversees the Financial Advisor teams located in Wintrust community banks in the south and southwest suburbs of Chicago. In addition to his management responsibilities, Don assists Financial Advisors throughout the firm in growing their practices, and assuring that clients’ long-term goals and objectives are discussed and addressed.

Before joining the firm, Don worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the Office of Complex Financial Institutions in Washington, DC. He served as a Senior Resolutions and Implementation Specialist charged with creating viable and implementable resolution strategies and plans for the nation’s systemically important financial institutions. Prior to that, he served as their Resolutions and Receiverships Manager. Don started his career as a Financial Advisor with the Fortis Financial Group. He transitioned into banking as a branch manager with St. Paul Federal Bank and, subsequently, an Executive Vice President with Citibank FSB. After becoming a firm-wide top performing Team Leader/Private Banker with National City’s Private Client Group, Don was promoted to Regional President and Senior Vice President with the firm. Later, he became the President/CEO of First National Bank of Grant Park.

Don has an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 Licenses. He is very active in Bourbonnais, Illinois where he lives with his wife and four children. Don is the past President of the United Way of Kankakee County, and the Lakewood Falls Homeowners Association. He has served as a Director for the Kankakee County Economic Development Association, Kankakee Development Association, the Kankakee Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra Association. Don has also served as a mentor for Kankakee’s Quick Start program, and as a volunteer Little League and Dynamo soccer coach.
