Ryan Sterkenburg is a Trust Officer with Wintrust Private Trust Company. He has been providing wealth management services, with a specialization in trust and estate administration since 2001. Ryan joined the firm in early 2024 and works primarily with clients, co-fiduciaries, and other professionals in the administration of IRAs, irrevocable and revocable trusts, foundations, and endowments. With a strong understanding of wealth transfer, Ryan has a commitment to implementing plans for multiple generations.

Before joining Wintrust, Ryan worked with regional bank trust departments in Michigan and Wisconsin. He has completed Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School in North Carolina and holds the designation of Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and is a Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP). 

In addition to his work with Wintrust Private Trust Company, he is a member of the Rotary Club of Muskegon, serves on the Board of Directors of the West Michigan Symphony and chairs the Community Engagement Committee. He serves on the board of The Lake Michigan Estate Planning Council and is president of the Hunters Woods Home Owners Association. Ryan lives in Grand Haven, Michigan, with his wife Kris where they enjoy golf, hunting, fly fishing, and hiking.
