Susan is the Chief Wealth Management Officer for Macatawa Bank, a Wintrust Community Bank located in West Michigan, with 40 years of experience in wealth management, fiduciary risk management and as a Trusts & Estates attorney. Susan joined the firm in 2022 and leads a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who deliver comprehensive wealth management services to individuals, multi-generational families and closely-held business owners. Together, they collaborate with clients and their external advisors to design customized strategies that meet today’s needs and fund tomorrow’s dreams.

Before joining the firm, Susan spent 16 years as a practicing Trusts & Estates attorney and over 25 years in a variety of leadership roles at HSBC Private Bank in Upstate New York and Fifth Third Private Bank in West Michigan, Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Susan graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and from the University of Michigan Law School with a Juris Doctor degree.  She serves on the Boards of Directors of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, the Michigan Christian Study Center and Trillium Living. Susan and her husband live near the lakeshore in West Michigan.
