As a Financial Advisor, William B. Hummer offers investment insights and prompt, personal attention to clients. He follows the philosophy of his father, Wayne Hummer, who emphasized good quality securities in essential industries. Bill takes pride in advising individual investors about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, tax-free investments, and retirement planning. He also consults with banks on bond and trust department portfolios and offers estate valuations, legal transfers, and other services to the bank and legal community.

Bill currently serves on eight national economic and forecasting panels: The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg News, Blue Chip Economic Indicators, Blue Chip Financial Forecasts, USA Today, Business Week, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. As an Economist frequently quoted in the national media, Bill enjoys sharing his insights with clients. He also writes a quarterly economic summary for the firm and periodic market commentaries for his clients.

As author of the former Bank Bond Comment sent to 11,000 community bankers, Bill helped Wayne Hummer Investments win recognition as the country’s “broker for banks.” Today, Bill and his team supervise investments for individuals, banks, attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals.

After graduating from Princeton University with a BA in Economics, Bill served as a counter-intelligence officer in the U.S. Army and worked as a journalist at the Journal of Commerce and the Washington Times-Herald before joining the firm. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 Licenses.
