Philip Hummer joined the firm in 1954, and worked alongside his father, Wayne, and brother, Bill, to build and maintain strong relationships with bankers and clients throughout the Midwest. He says, “I could have had no better influence than my father in following the principles of sound values and hard work.” He continues, “After 70 years as a partnership, in 2002 Wayne Hummer Investments became a part of the Wintrust Financial Corporation family. Our growth since then has placed our financial advisory teams in a better position than ever to meet the diverse investment needs of our clients.”
Philip served as Chairman of the company’s Executive Committee from 1980 to 1997, and has held various leadership positions throughout the securities industry. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 Licenses. Philip has also been active with several Chicago civic organizations, including the Chicago History Museum and the Chicago Crime Commission.
