Ethel Kaplan serves as a Trust Administrator for The Chicago Trust Company. She specializes in managing personal trust accounts as well as guardianships. Ethel also administers the firm’s donor advised fund, Generations in Giving.
Ethel was formerly employed as an attorney in the not-for-profit sector, representing charities before the Internal Revenue Service. Prior to joining The Chicago Trust Company, Ethel served as a Vice President and Trust Officer at Cole Taylor Bank. In addition, she worked as a Planned Giving Specialist with major charities throughout the Chicago area for many years.
Ethel holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and a J.D. from Northwestern University Law School. She attended the National Graduate Trust School of Northwestern University and holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers. Additionally, Ethel is a member of the Chicago Estate Planning Council.
